Hey guys! I’m gonna be not on scratch for a few days because i’m going camping this weekend! I’m actually back now tho :D
I thought I might as well tell you more details on when we go camping, in case you want to know. People: We always go camping with the same people, Norah, Hanna, Lilah, Henry, Henry’s younger brother, and that other girl. Don’t blame me for forgetting their names, though, because I only see them when we’re camping. The Camp Kid’s Club: I always bring this extra mini tent when we camp, and we use it for something i call the Camp Kid’s Club. Us kids use the tent to store our drawing supplies, chill, and have kind of a base for us to play in if it’s raining. In the Camp Kid’s Club, we also catch caterpillars and have them as kind of pets. We watch them and feed them, and when we leave we let them go. Cars: We are also allowed to play on the road with chalk! But don’t worry, the cars have to drive at a speed limit of like 10, and us kids are trained professionals at watching out for the cars. Whenever one of us sees a car, we shout “CAR!” and all of us run to the side of the road and wait for the car to go away. Games: I’ve made up all sorts of games, like Spiral and Epic. I got the spiral idea from one of my friends from my class! (I’m not mentioning her name, in case she prefers to be anonymous) But Epic is still my favorite. I always bring my hammock camping, and we play Epic in it as much as we can! Once, the straps even broke! You play Epic by getting four people (preferably three kids, one grownup) and the three kids go in the hammock, and the grownup swings it at about a 135 degrees. Then the people in the hammock attack each other. And yell Epic. It may sound crazy, and it is. Crazy FUN! For this year, I made up Rober Rules. A bit of context first: Mark Rober is this famous Youtuber who made a thing called a Build Box. It’s a toy that gets sent to you every month for a year, and it comes with instructions and a qr code to a video where Mark explains all the physics of the toy, and you can assemble it yourself! The first Build Box I got is a disc shooter. You play Rober Rules by shooting discs and things and trying to knock them down. Pretty simple. (We kids also like playing things with cards and drawing.) Food Plan: I only eat a couple things during camping. Hot chocolate, steak with ketchup, corn on the cob, sometimes hamburgers, chips & salsa, and s’mores. I drink a cup of hot chocolate in the morning to warm me up (it’s always cold, when we camp in this time of year, and this year it’s going to be even worse! At least my dad will keep me warm. Haha!) and then another one in the after a lunch of chips & salsa plus steak with ketchup. In the evening, I eat steak with ketchup and sometimes hamburger and corn on the cob. Then after dinner…S’MORES! All the kids are allowed to have two each. Favorite Part of Camping: Personally, my favorite part of camping is that you can go to bed early, late, or at the normal time! You can sleep whenever! Roles: You may right know be like: “What does Lio mean by Roles?” Well if you are, I’m gonna tell you. What I mean by Roles is what each of us seem to be most used for. There, now you know and I can start. My Role: Game Creator Game Creator means I make up most of the games. You might have caught onto this before. Norah’s Role: Advice Giver. Norah is the Advice Giver because she gives advice for all sorts of things. She’s the oldest of us kids, and cleverest too. Hanna’s Role: Hoarder. As Hoarder, Hanna has all sorts of gadgets at hand, like scented markers, her bug catcher, and other things. She also keeps anything “interesting” she finds, and started the caterpillar pet idea. Lilah’s Role: Helper. Need s’mores put together because you’re occupied trying to not let your marshmallows fall off your stick? Or help setting up the tent? Or maybe no one else is willing to hold the other end of the hammock strap for you? Well then Lilah will help, because she is programmed to help in any way she can. Henry, Henry’s younger brother, and that other girl: Players. These kids will play any game, especially Epic, so they are players. My Dad: Big Guy Unlike the other role names, this one may not tip you off. Well, Dad is the Big Guy because everyone calls him Big Guy, and his jobs are to swing the hammock, keep me warm in the night, and take way too many photos. My Mom: Accessible Grownup My Mom is always available to any kid for most things. All the other Grownups: Not my Parents Grownups Everyone else is there to help, look after the kids, and find something besides s’mores their child will actually eat. And that’s it! How you didn’t think that was a waste of your time, because it took me like an hour to make all this.
