Wren the SkyWing was flying over the desert. She was on her way to see a friend in the SandWing kingdom. Below her on the sand she saw a NightWing laying in a heap. He looked like he was in pain and she flew down to see if he needed help. Dread groaned shifting as Wren approached "are you alright? What's wrong?" Wren asked getting closer. Dread didn't answer but as she got closer he suddenly lunged at her, all signs of pain gone in an instant, a trap. Wren yelped and stumbled back but lost her footing in the sand and fell. Dread lept at her, smiling as he pushed her head sideways, pushing the side of her face into the sand. Wren tried to scream, thrashing helplessly. Dread pulled a syringe from his bag and laughed a bit "Shhhh it's ok... Just relax" he whispered. He pushed it carefully into her neck and slowly emptied it's contents then withdrew the syringe. Wren tried to yell louder, praying someone would save her. Quickly her feeble attempts to cry for help caught in her throat, breathing was hard and her vision was spinning. She saw Dread slip a bag over her head before she was unconscious. Wren groaned as she blinked awake. She found herself tied to what she assumed was a post, her hind legs were tied beneath her, forcing her to kneel and her front talons were tied together by her wrists around the post. She couldn't see, her head covered in the cloth that was tightened around her neck so it wouldn't slip off. She heard talons and tried to thrash terrified. The knot in the bag was undone and Dread lifted it from her head. She looked around, she was in a smaller room with a doorway she assumed went to a different part of the cave. Dread smiled "Welcome. Eel will be in soon to make sure you're ready. Then it's time for dinner." Dread explained before leaving. Wren sat there, nervous and terrified. Clearly this wasn't just a dinner invite, otherwise she wouldn't have been attacked and tied up. A SeaWing, Eel, came in and checked her over. He made sure her eyes were fine and her ears, then felt her pulse and nodded "Come now." He said and united her from the post but kept her legs tied together. He dragged her across the floor as she flailed and screamed to no avail. They entered a room that made her freeze. All along the walls were bones of dragons, a table in the center had chains and she could tell that was her destination. She couldn't get free as Eel strapped her tightly to the table. She laid there rasping for breath in panic as the group filed in, Orca sat above her head, smiling sweetly. "As always. Fate must be thanked for giving us such a wonderful gift. Dread?" She asked holding out a talon. Wren tried to scream, thrashing as much as she could as Orca was given a cloth. Orca moved calmly and slow, she took the cloth in one talon and used the other to hold Wren's head still and jaw shut. Wren could only watch as the cloth was pressed over her snout, giving pitiful attempts to throw her head sideways. Orca dug her claw in slightly "shhhhhhh... It's ok..... Fighting does no good now... Calm down little one.... This won't hurt a bit..." She whispered in her ear as Wren felt her whole body go limp. "... It'll hurt a lot." Orca said as the horror in Wren's eyes became more distant, appearing behind a mask of forced calm. She was freaking out, why couldn't she move?! Orca removed the cloth and was given a blade. She gracefully cut Wrens chest open, revealing ribs. Wren wanted to shriek but could only lay there, her jaw parted limply. As Orca snapped away her ribs, Wren attempted to shriek but only managed a quiet wheeze. Then Orca picked up the blade again. Wren laid limp, tears rolling down her face. Orca cut out her heart carefully and Wren watched in horror as it was lifted from her chest, red droplets falling onto her cut open underside. Wren tried to cry out in anguish but she only gave a weak gasp as tears rolled down her cheeks, reflecting the flickering flame as her heart was burnt Wren fell to the jaws of death as they began eating, her chest cavity a pool of blood and cheeks soaked with tears. By the end, all that was left on the table was bones and bloodstains. "Until next time we thank fate for the unfortunate souls that are a necessary sacrifice." Orca said smiling. The group cheered and dispersed to go to sleep.
