Petals in the wind is discontinued, but I’d like to show how the ending was supposed to go without drawing or continuing the comic, so I’ll write out what I had planned: [being left of from chapter 25] (I unshared all the chapters of pitw, so any fans of the comic, I suggest you read what happens next.) After petalpaw, birchpaw, & splashpaw got back to petalclan, they remembered that their warrior ceremony was that day. Oh yeah… I completely forgot about that, said splashpaw. Wait, petalpaw, what will the other cats say about your wings? Birchpaw pointed out. Oh! Yeah I should have told you guys, bug taught me to hide my wings. WHAT? Yelled both apprentices. Yeah, like this! Petalpaw’s wings suddenly had started to shrink, & then disappeared completely. There. Said petalpaw. Now let’s head to the ceremony! After the ceremony, petalpaw became petalwind, birchpaw became birchmoss, & splashpaw became splashstorm. After this the group starting investigating the recent d3aths of cats from different clans. They eventually tracking everything back to Warpflower, and she had regained all her power. Warpflower became almost unstoppable, until petalwind remembered why they came to elemental. They didn’t need the help of them anymore, & petalwind had the power of flight, which was all the clans needed. A thunderstorm raged on as petalwind did everything she could to take down Warpflower. Petalwind crashed into Warpflower as the horrible cat fell the to ground, finally defeated. I… i did it… petalwind had done it. She saved all the clans with everyone by her side. A thunderclap hit the sky, & petalwind realized she needed to find birchmoss & peachdove, immediately. She flew to where the two were, & yelled, birchmoss! Peachdove! I’ve been looking all over for you! We’re safe! We’re sa- peachdove? Wait what- birchmoss! No! A broken log laid on top of birchmoss, fallen from the storm. Petalwind rushed to where birchmoss laid, his heart not beating, & his body showed no sign of breath. no… nonono… nono NO! He… can’t be gone… no… Petalwind’s face was filled with tears, with peachdove next to her. Petalwind… he’s gone. Peachdove said somberly. Epilogue: It’s been a long time since birchmoss d1ed. Ever since Warpflower was defeated, no cats have had a vision or dream with their Starclan relatives. A lot has changed since then as well. The clan cats & ones from elemental have gotten together & now use splashstorm’s boat to visit them. Dragonstar hasn’t been seen since he gave Warpflower the mask & mostly everything that has happened is his fault. I come up to birchmoss’s grave sometimes, & even though I can’t communicate with him until I d1e, every spring, when petals flutter in the wind, he’s there. The end.
