Since 2024, when I first announced A+A, the response was incredible. People were genuinely excited for an original animated series built from the ground up on Scratch. I poured all the time I could ; usually after finishing high school homework first, into storyboarding, scripting, and designing the world of A+A. The first half of the story was already taking shape when the announcement came to be. But truthfully, I overestimated how much I could handle. Delays kept piling up, and balancing school with production became too much. On the bright side, during this time, I also created several video projects for school. One of them, my final short film, was submitted to the district-wide film festival. Out of 35+ first-round entries and around 10–15 finalists from 21 different schools, my short film won the entire festival. Best Editing, Best Screenplay, and Best Short Film. That moment opened my eyes, and I realized my true passion might be in the horrid and mentally pain staking, yet AMAZING FILM INDUSTRY.. Living just an hour from Hollywood, the decision feels risky but also kind of perfect. After long thought, I’ve decided it’s time to retire A+A. It’s too ambitious for me to continue right now, and Scratch deserves projects that are more manageable and consistent than something that will take around 2 more years to finally release a season. I was blending multiple software tools alongside Scratch (including Adobe products) just to bring A+A to life—but it’s simply too much for one person at this time. I’m not leaving, though! I’ll still be on Scratch to post skits, voice acting content, and never-before-seen A+A material from behind the scenes when I feel inspired. Thank you to everyone who supported this series and believed in it. Maybe one day, those two bounty hunters can return to the screen, whether it’s on Scratch or somewhere bigger. —✦ Let this be a reminder to future animators on Scratch: chase your passion, but take care of yourself, too.
