TW }} Talk of pets getting older/death } { Also contains her story which i've always loved to be told :] } {Now playing: Let me down slowly} { ONE MORE NOTE: I wrote this a bit ago, and rn I gave her some belly rubs and brushes and shes asleep on the couch. I hope to enjoy what we have left instead of going "This is so sad" so much to the point I can't enjoy the moments we have. } Leelou is 19. Yeah. she's a grandma. Older than me. Which also means she kinda raised me. She's always been there. My parents got her from a pet store. she was the runt of the litter. the feistiest one. One the way home she tore through the box she had been put in and climbed everywhere screaming. She climbed a giant plant my parents had. Scratched everybody. Ran through the apartment into other rooms. Fell off the balcony. She was a little devil. but my parents loved her. When my big brother was born, sha hated him. Eventually she calmed down. Got used to him. Then there was me. I pushed her a little, I got scratched. But I figured it out. I love her, she really was part of the family. We eventually got another cat. Moved. For a year during the move she was away. I was a child, five or so. would look at pictures of her and cry. Later on when I was 7 i'd say, "Oh, shes getting old mum." My mom would say. "Ne, she's still got a while." Now it's hard. She really is and always will be my kitty. She's really sassy. She may be old, but boy can she meow loud. it shounds like shes on fire. We have an inside joke where she's saying howdy. Iiiits a long story. She's very picky. loves being brushed. welcomes me home after a hard day with a loud meow and no matter how tired she is, she'll get up and roll around for belly rubs. Crazy old girl. She can't make it up the stairs anymore, but she used to love the top floor. Her fur is matted. her hips are bad. She's (prolly) deaf. I am going to miss her a lot. I still have flora, who is 5 now. But Leelou is different. I know she's going to pass soon, which is sad. The invisble-ish halo is only to recognize that she's slowly fading. But at the same time, she's lived a long life. She still has maybe two years left, I was just feeling sad because she got stuck in the basement. and I had to carry her up. and the leelou I knew would never get stuck and let me pick her up. Hey, leelou? I love you
I drew her sleeping in a more comfy version of her favorite bench :3
