The Raven Spirits of Marashade were once available to all. They were an incredible source of wisdom for any who came and asked. People would travel hundreds upon hundreds of miles just to seek their advice. The Ravens also took apprentices, whom they taught to use Shadow magic. Then one day all was silent. The Great Doors of Marashade were shut. And the Grand Raven Spirit spoke. He said that they had deemed the people unworthy of their wisdom. Nor were they worthy of being in the world at all. So the attacks began. The people tried to fight back, but the only thing that Shadow magic was susceptible to was Light. And all the Light magicians lived in the Secluded Tower, and refused to help. So the people turned to a different solution: Fire. The greatest magicians in the lands summoned Fire Spirits to aid in their battle, which turned the tide. The War of Fire and Shadow raged for thirty years. Finally, the Ravens retreated to Marashade and never returned. Lửapi was one of the Fire Spirits summoned to fight the Ravens. Her eye was injured in the Battle of Cordo Plain, 25 years into the war.
