GRAYTALE. The land of no color. The monsters have become so depressed that they require monthly injections of DETERMINATION to keep themselves alive. This causes... mutations. Toran and Asreor (Toriel and Asgore) know about the current state of Asari (Asriel). Although he has a soul, it is broken badly enough that he cannot feel love unless the emotion is immense. They despise the former Royal Scientist, Aalphi (Alphys), for causing this, and have therefore banished her to the Ruins. One day, a young human, supposedly named Cauru (Chara) falls into the Ruins, and is raised by Aalphi. She teaches the human that the shadows will protect them, and to hide in them when in danger. Then Asari and Cauru meet. And everything changes.
