*CLICK THE GREEN FLAG! THERE IS MUSIC!* Alrighty, I just wanted to talk a little about this song. So when I first heard it a while ago, I was like- bro. This is SO ironic, the world isn't wonderful, it's full of bad people and all kinds of bad things. But I realized- he isn't talking about humanity being good. He's talking about the WORLD itself. Listen- "I see trees of green, red roses too!" Jump over to here- "I see skies of blue, clouds of white!". He's not saying he sees a utopia- he saying he sees nature. The Earth itself. And we need to think like him- stop being hypocrites. Focus on the good things. And it may sound cringe or like overly optimistic, but you really should. Just watching 5 mins of the news and you can see how awful the world is."But take heart! I have overcome the world." -John 16:33. (scroll down, because SOME people don't, lol) And it's not like the world was awesome when he made this. Actually, quite the contrary. President Kennedy had just been taken, and there were high tensions in his era (1960's ish). He felt like people needed this song. He wanted them not to focus on arguments or their problems, but to focus on the beautiful things. And his voice- I couldn't think of this song any other way. It's not ugly, scratchy, or disgusting- it's beautiful. PERFECT for this song. I think he even meant for this song to be so ironic. Finding the good in the bad. ... I see friends shaking hands, saying 'how do you do'? They're really saying 'I love you!'... T-T so pretty
What a Wonderful World- Louis Armstrong (R.I.P, T-T) Everything else by me. This sound reminds me of my grandpa. Riding bicycles in the park. The zoo. Memories. This was how I thought of the world when I was younger. Why did that change? What does this song remind you of? Share below.
