Anton continuously looked at Michaela like she was crazy. "Why? Why? Why! Why! WHY!" Anton stomped his foot. "WHY!" He didn't seem quite angry, but he definitely wasn't calm either. He needed to know how she could resist! No one ever resited the curse before, so why now? Why could a girl who looked so much like Maria resist? "Clearly you never wanted me to find you. Sorry for bothering." Michaela walked away and Anton didnt stop her. He had so many questions, but he knew she wouldnt have the anwser. Instead, Anton walked into the bakery. "Trisha might have answers." Anton mumbled. A bell rang as he entered and he looked around. No one was there, but Anton knew better. "Trisha, stop playing mind tricks." He complained. As the words left his mouth, the bakery transformed. The once bright colors and sweet smells turned into browns and greys and the smell of something rotten found its way into Anton's nose. "Trisha, seriously? This is what you have been doing recently?" "Its not like you've been around to help." a voice squeaked from behind Anton. Anton turned around and was met with Trisha, a short lady with long dark hair that brushed the floor and eyes darker than her hair. "I need answers." He said. "Of course you do. Thats always why you come here, isnt it? Though you havent asked for anwsers for a long time now, Anton. Is it about that girl? She looked a lot like--" "Dont. Please dont say her name. I know who the girl looks like. Worse though, she can resist the curse." "Boy, I've told you time and time again that you- wait, did you say she can resist it?" Trisha stared at him, awaiting an answer. "Yes, I did. I've asked multiple times, each time she refused. Refused, Trisha, refused! How?" Anton asked. And why her, he thought. "Come sit. I'll need time to learn, though the most obvious is that she has been blessed. Why? I do not know." Trisha sat in one of the many chairs surrounding tables and motioned for Anton to join her. "She also is related to... Her, you know." "Why do you refuse to use her name?" "I dont want her name to be cursed in this place." Anton responded. The woman cackled. "Oh, you still know nothing of this place. A name will not be cursed from saying it. You should know this, boy." "Can we please finish our buissness?" Anton urged. "Fine. Ask your questions." "Why can she resist?" "I told you, she must be blessed. I do not know how or why, only her and her family can disclose that information." Trisha said. "Do you know how she could have been born?" "The girl, who you dont want me to speak the name of," She rolled her eyes. "Had a baby before her untimely demise. Her parents claimed the baby as their own to spare their daughter of humiliation." Trisha looked at Anton, awaiting his responce. "But she never told me of a child, sibling or her own." "She wasnt always truthful, boy. You gave your heart to a liar clearly. How else would that girl who entered my shop be alive?" Anton clenched his jaw. "I shouldnt have come in." Anton mumbled. "Boy, it was in your destiny to learn this." Trisha said. Anton glared at her before leaving the building. It wasnt a bakery, like the outside suggested, but it was impossible to know what it truly was. It always changed to what Trisha wanted it to be. Now, Anton needed to find Michaela and talk to her family.
