This is a project I abandoned a while ago. My goal was too make a 2D version of Forza Horizon 5, but I ran into some problems. However, there were certain aspects of it that I really liked, such as how I recreated the speedometer and made shifting physics. Controls: W = gas S = brake AD = steering Q = Shift Down E = Shift up Problems that led to this project not being finished: -Collisions. While I think the driving physics I made were good, I couldn't come up with a good way of making collisions. What I have currently have in this project 90% of the time works great. And sometimes you glitch through a wall or get launched through the map. -Making the map itself. I found an image that was a top-down view of teh fh5 festival site, however it was pretty low resolution. I tried some AI image tools to make it better but they didn't help too much. Then I tried adding my own images over it. I redrew the roads and added more high resolution tents, trucks, fences, everything. and it looked pretty okay. But when you upload an image into scratch, it gets much grainier. I uploaded the image in multiple pieces and even then it didn't look good enough. If someone has an idea for the collisions I would appreciate some help. If it worked that would probably be enough motivation for my to draw the map in the scratch editor and make this a complete game someday.
