Q for advanced settings Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. I will make a tutorial of how to use the engine at some point in the future.
This engine is a 2.5D version of @FunnyAnimatorJimTV's Butter engine. I wanted to use 3d for my entry in @_bookie's game contest but Butter 3D engine was too laggy for my computer. I made this project as the result. This project is kinda rushed as I only had about two weeks left to actually make the game when I started finishing the engine. Butter 3D Engine https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1130397586/ Engine Specifics: Pros - It can do unlimitted 3D worlds from a fixed camera perspective - Texturing is super easy, you just make a costume and set it to stamp. - The collision system is vastly more accurate than in the original butter engine. Cons - The engine isn't real 3D sorry so the engine is locked to 1 perspective. - The framerate is sometimes, but very rarely, unstable Credit to Butter 3D Engine by @FunnyAnimatorJimTV (obviously) for inspiration and for reference for the collision system. Griffpatch's platoforming tutorial also helped tweak some things. I also used his scratch cat animation. Thanks to Jonathan Kogan on youtube because his video on equidistant points on a circle helped me fix some of the collisions. The music in this project is from Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door. The sound effects for the most part come from Minecraft. Tags: #3d #3D
