draw in ladybug's ugly style diy !!!!!! aren't you excited!!! press space 1. i set the line size anywhere from 5 to 10 (7 this time), and the pen to calligraphy (optional but i like it). erase the white background- make sure your eraser is set to transparent! set the stabilizer to 3 2. draw a head shape. you can adjust the lines to be sharper or softer as you wish, depending on the person... 3. create a new layer, on top of the last one. draw your hair. 4. another new layer!! again on top. draw the body. [ i adjusted the hair ] 5. new layer, draw the clothes <3 this does not include accessories! 6. face layer! i'm not going to go much into this... oh!! uh if the hair intersects with the face at all move the face layer behind the hair layer. still in front of the head, tho! don't draw a nose lmao-- we'll get to that later 7. coloring!!! choose your three main colors. i usually try to loosely follow the 60-30-10 rule (60% one color, 30% the next, and 10% the last) your 10 should be a contrasing color, probably! and focus the 10% on the face to make it pop <3 you don't actually need to draw them out if you can remember them i chose brown, white, and pink 8. let's start with the head. place a layer directly below the head and color in the head! :3 it's k if you go a little outside the lines or color in the eyes. i use the circle pen for this, and set the stabilizer to 2 color the rest like this! place a layer below the things you want to color, then color 'em! there might be some overlapping lines you have to deal with.. just erase them or color over them or wtv 10. fun part!!! <3 let's begin with the face. eyebrows, circle for the nose, blush, freckles, lips, anything you would like! go crazy! i call these decals... specifically like the pattern on the sweater, which i made w the pattern thing kleki has this is also where i sometimes add accessories! those can be done in the lineart too, though feel like i need more for this but oh well the thing on her hair is with one of the noise pattersns i added a black line 'round her for the bg, and then a blue one! i'm /terrible/ at backgrounds, so this is the best you're gonna get done!!!!
i am drawing this on kleki, with a touchpad thing yes this is kind of a new style but i like it!!! :3 wow this is convoluted i don't usually do that many layers
