| Manager Application | | A bit about me! | Name(s): Elliot, or sometimes... iTrapped {That one is rare though} Depends on if I'm in a kinshift or not! Usually I'm Elliot though! Gender/Pronouns: Male - He/Him Time Zone: Central Standard Time {CST} How long I've been a member: Over a year now! I know this account says differently, but I moved to this one from my old account. Age Range: I will be a Junior when the school years starts! When I'm Online: Usually its never set in stone when I'm online, but I pop on when I have free time during school hours {7:45am - 3:25pm CST} and randomly when I'm at home. During summer I tend to get on whenever I can, my schedule is never really final, sorry. | Why I'd be a good manager | I think I'd make a good manager because I love to help. I want to make sure I can do my best to make the Hive a better and more welcoming place. I have noticed that things have been.. Off recently, and the recent comment closers have been a bit more frequent and longer. I'd love to try and help fix that by making the Hive the best that it can be and finding better solutions to deal with the few that keep bringing it down. I also usually try my best to replay to as many comfort/eurphoria requests that I can, I even have a project for that. I want the Hive to be a good place to be in once more. | Downsides | I mentioned this in my last application on my old profile, but I am not the best when it comes to drama. I usually try to ignore it and continue being silly to distract myself from what is going on and hope everyone clams down soon. I do the same when things get stressful or negative, though I will eventually just log off and disappear without warning if it starts spiraling too much.. I'm working on that though! I also disappear suddenly due to a certain kinshift, I'm sure you can guess which one based off the names I listed ^^" | Unique things I could bring | Just like I said on my last application on my old account, I would love to be able to host mini events and games during my host shifts to encourage positivity and help with supporting and helping each other as well. I would make sure most of my host shifts would hopefully be an entertaining and positive experience for all! | What would I improve? | For MONTHS now I have noticed the managers being stressed over the Hive, and even kind of blamed for somethings going on, and I hate that. I would love to be able to help lift the weight off their shoulders and help relieve that stress by being as active as I can, even if it is just comment stalking to make sure everyone is behaving. I would also like to find new ways to deal with the problems we have been having recently, like the rule breaking, and maybe even improve some rules a bit. | What I think being a manager entails. | I think, as a manager, you would need to be online often to keep an eye on the Hive and make sure things are working smoothly. I would also assume that a manager has to know the rules well and be able to enforce them and recognize any comment that breaks the rules and update the karma regularly. They would also have to be able to spot and recognize trolls and sock puppets as well and be able to keep track of those accounts. A manager would also have to keep an eye on the other branch off studios like discussions and alt hive and be willing to take criticism and suggestions without problems. | Recommendations! | - Karkat {} I think Karkat would be a great manager, in my opinion. I see him around often, and while I don't talk to him much, I think he's amazing. He's not scared to speak out for himself and others and I admire that a lot. - Wade {}: I also think Wade would do amazing. He's been on the hive for a long time and is usually very active.
