Hai everyone! This is a complete guide to the horse community on scratch, for new members Brief overview: The horse community is a collection of studios on scratch, each called stables. These studios consist of trading horse art for virtual currency. The stable I own is called sunset stables. Currency and banking: all stables have their own system of currency, e.g. GC (Gold coins) or HS (Horseshoes). When you join a stable you get a certain amount of this currency that you can use to buy things and you can obtain more by selling stuff. There’s actually a mini-economy going on with inflation, stock etc! -you keep track of currencies in the bank. The bank is just a studio with the list of all members and how much money they own. When you buy or sell something you let the bank know and they update the amount of money you own. Things you sell and buy! Since this is a stable, most of the items will be horse related. Horses themselves have a bit of rules: - each horse is unique. You cannot sell the same horse twice to different people. - each horse has a gender and breed that is given to you when you buy that you cannot change - you have to credit the artist whenever you use the horse. - you don’t edit the art, you use it as is That’s just about it for buying horses, now lets move on to tack and items: - most of the time tack can be duped, meaning you can sell the same item to many people and they can all use it - you have to credit the Artist EVERYTIME you use the tack That was a lot! Now: Using what you bought! You can use the horses you buy through making them updates and entering them into shows. Updates: - here is an example of an update: - during an update, you write a bit of a story in which the horses are real - most items you buy, tack, accessories etc. Are used for updates Shows: You can also enter your horses in shows. Most shows work by having you remix the project with your horse tacked up and the spin a wheel to determine a winner. Doing an update with your horse adds you an extra slot to the wheel giving you more chances. Fun activities: There are lots of different events you can host or participate. - auctions: whoever offers the highest amount of money wins the horse - gachapons: get a random horse - breeding: choose one horse from yours and one horse from someone else, try to guess and draw what the offspring will look like - raffles: self explanatory How to set up a tack shop: 1) draw all the tack you wish to sell 2) assign each item a price (pricing guide: (insert link)) 3) when someone buys something they backpack the items and you transact the money (ask the bank for more) How to sell a horse: 1) draw a horse OR 1) sell a horse you previously bought with the owner’s permission 2) assign a price 3) sell To buy: The selling project should have all the info! A few stables: That’s about it!
