My tears roll down my face as I sing a song my mom told me to sing when I was ready to let go. My body had hurt from singing the same song on loop for hours and crying at the same time. My fingers were numb from the rain and guitar strings. "And now you're in the stars and six-feet's never felt so far, here I am alone between the heavens and the embers." I sob out singing knowing the song by heart. I stop strumming and take a deep breath trying to calm myself down. I couldn't tell anymore what was rain and what was my tears. I look up to the sky and scream. "WHY!?" I scream sobbing harder. I start to shake and I lean my guitar against the gravestones. I start screaming even more. I pull the rose from my hair and throw it into the grave of my mother with the last of my strength. I fall onto my knees crying. "Hush, Nyx, your okay." a soft voice says. I look up to see... my mom? "M-m-mom?" I manage to say. She was beautiful and alive? "How." I say reaching out. "Sweetie, I'm a spirit I wish I could give you a hug." she says giving me a soft smile. I start to cry again. "How?" I say more tears and rain running down my face. "The Black Rose. It's extremely rare planted by spirits. Where did you get it?" she asks looking at it then me. I look into her glassy eyes crying even harder. She was wearing a long silver dress that seemed to glow like her. "A-a boy named P-Phoenix gave it to me." I say looking up at her. "Phoenix?" she says worry crossing her face. "Mom?" I say reaching out again. "Honey. In the spirit world there is a prophecy. Stay away from Phoenix." she says reaching out. She started to fade. "Don't leave me! A-a-and the spirit world? MOM!" I scream as she fades away blowing me a kiss. "I love you so much darling." she says fading. "NO!" I scream again lunging instead my dress ripping on the rocks. I pick on the rose and stare at it twirling it in my hands as I scream and cry. I pull myself up and grab my guitar and walk back home. I start to pack things into my bag. I take some food and my sketch book and run out the house. We had a cottage in the forest that only me and my sister knew about. I ran through the woods with my bag and guitar in hand.
