hey cloudies u might have seen clara (@jellyycat-) 's vent about how people (like some of her friends) weren't including her in studio that they were inviting all of there friends in, just because they didn't think she was aes enough. like in what world is that an okay/nice thing to do. and honestly recently I have been really disappointed in our community lately. like I hate that clara (and many other people) have experienced this as well. like that's not what scratch is about. its about learning to code, meeting other people who share the same interest as you, and exploring/expanding ur creativity. and I'm sick and tired of people treating it like instagram or tiktok. ITS NOT! for the last time people, ITS A KIDS WEBSITE! I hate hate hate all the negative stuff thats going around in our community. I feel like there is only a small portion of people actually trying to help it and everyone else is just adding to the drama, and sometimes they are doing it ON PURPOSE. I get really sad when people who have only been here for like a week or so make leaving pro or say "sorry y'all I'm leaving". like that shows: 1. that people weren't giving them a positive community to love 2. that they experienced that or drama in just being here for a week. like that does NOT look good on ANY one of us because its OUR fault that the comm is a negative place now. 3. that people just don't seem to care. okay and the worst part is when u check the reasons why they decided to leave and its ALMOST always "I hate having to try to be aesthetic" or "everyone's hating because I'm not aes" or "being aes is too much pressure and too much work" like I am so sad for them and even MORE disappointed that our community is like that. like that is the EXACT reason I made my studio "the loving comm" in hopes that we would actually be able to have, a LOVING COMMUNITY! but look where we are now. almost worse. and ik that saying that "I hate this" and "I hate this" it isn't helping us spread love, but I want this drawn to people's attention. like we NEED to stop just crushing peoples feelings like a bag of chips. when you are online it can be hard to remember that these are REAL people with REAL feelings, so I really really hope that we can make a harder and stronger effort in fixing the comm, bcuz ik that I'm NOT the only one who feels this way <33 so I would like if people actually think about what they're saying before they click "post" on a comment. ty all so much for urr time and reading this whole thing. ik it was a lot but I just really needed to get my opinion out. pixie out <3
