☆●☆ DIFFUSION ☆●☆ ⏩️What is diffusion? 》》The physical definition of this word sounds like this: diffusion is a physical process when molecules of a substance are moving from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. ⏩️How do people use this physical process? 》》As you may know, molecules of every substance move in the space because there is (really small, but there is) a distance between them, and because they are affected by the forces of attraction and repulsion. So, solids diffuse too, but very, very, and very slowly. People use this property to obtain different alloys. For example, if you will take an ingot of gold and a piece of lead and press the metals together... ...after several years, you will have a layer of gold and lead alloy, because the metals diffused!
