THE plant Species name: Umbrellogalga arbria Common name: Forestleaf Niche: Producer size: 20cm-35cm. Description: These plants start life as small floating "seeds" (click to see), that drift along in large clouds and are a good food source for herbivores. eventually they find a good place to rest, preferably near the surface, and begin to stick to it, using their bottom stalk. The large amounts of whalefall created by the humpback aquags allows these to grow much larger than their relatives, over 10x the size! They have also evolved to cover the seafloor in shade, preventing new plants from growing and aiding in photosynthesis. This allows forestleaves to create vast biomes, with very few small plants. When fully grown, they can be difficult to consume by the wildlife because of their size and the lack of a chewing mechanism.
