Uhh very briefly someone who is very lazy or depressed may not take good care of their personal hygiene and could have messy/unkempt hair. Really high energy characters can also have messy hair as it shows they can't be held back. Neat/slicked back hair/a tight bun and other styles like that show professionalism and maturity.
