Happy Pride Month, Simply Frogge Edition!!!! I am not a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, but I am a proud ally. Every June celebrates Pride Month where people gather together and celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture, in forms of parades, parties, festivals, and much more. (And no, I am not good at animating my own character.) Scratch is a friendly and welcoming community for all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities, and I look forward to celebrating this month virtually and in reality with people! :)
`~- History -~` During Pride Month, we go back in history and observe events that led us here. The most famous event were the Stonewall Riots of 1969, where police raided a gay bar in Manhattan, New York. This event was followed by many protests. A year later, in 1970, the first ever Pride Marches in America were held. Over the years, there were more marches and protests. In 1999, President Clinton signed a bill declaring every June as "Gay and Lesbian Pride Month." In 2009, President Obama expanded it to "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month." President Biden also expanded recognition for the LGBTQIA+ community and Pride Month.
