Waves crashed all around me. Thunder clapped. Lightning flashed, lighting up the sky. Rain pattered on the water as I sunk. The storm grew worse by the second. I couldn't breathe. The vicious water surrounded me. I tried to swim back up. The waves pushed me down and I sunk further. A hand in the water reached out for me. To save me. I grabbed the hand, desperate for air. Desperate to be saved. He pulled me up, out of the water, bringing me into His arms. The storm quieted. I was trembling, terrified, freezing, and couldn't breathe. But the storm was stopped. I was safe again. "You're ok." He said. "I'm here with you. You're safe."
Image is a screenshot of a scene from The Chosen, in season 3, episode 8 (the season finale). Based off the story in the bible when Jesus and Peter walk on water. Does this seem almost like a poem? So... let me explain something. At the beginning of this story, it describes the storm. The vicious storm, which was terrifying the narrator. So, that storm represents the troubles we have in our life. It goes on to describe the narrator's struggles to get out of the water, out of the storm. That represents how we try so hard to get out of it ourselves. Then at the end of the story, the narrator's trembling, still recovering from the storm they were just in. But they were safe, in Jesus' arms. I hope you like it! Jesus calms the storms :D Maybe not my BEST work lol. But good, I hope! Wowie, it really is a short story lol. I think I could've done better at describing the storm. I might revise it eventually. Also, I HIGHLY recommend watching The Chosen.
