The Crack of Dawn-a Warrior Cats fanfiction TBW: Leaving, pregnancy, talk of pregnancy, death, talk of death "Softbreeze. You can't leave." Bloomtail's voice grew softer, like his name, with each step she took towards the love of her life. "Bloomtail, I have to go. You don't understand the danger I'll put you and the Clan through." Softbreeze said. The giant, white clouds were covering the moon so quickly that there was no light left to see Softbreeze's beautiful face. Softbreeze quickened his step to a run and turned his back to her. Bloomtail tried to run after him, but a sharp pain coursed through her. "Softbreeze-!" she yelped. But she couldn't keep up with him. And not because she wasn't fast enough to. But because she couldn't even dare to try. She felt another sharp pain and tensed. Knowing there wasn't much time left, she ran over and and leaned against a tree, gasping and panting even from that effort. I can't ask a medicine cat, she thought. Then I'll have to explain why I was up this late at night and then she'd have to say why she was meeting Softbreeze. Truthfully, the two met when they were at a Gathering. Softbreeze said he felt so connected to her, in a sense so strong he couldn't ignore it. And Bloomtail had thought that no one could see him but her, only her, like he was an angel sent from StarClan. She still remembered the first words he said to her- "Meet me at the crack of dawn tomorrow." But she had much more important things to worry about now. //one kitting later// Bloomtail gasped happily. I did it. I made it through the kitting. I made it through all the hardships. she thought. She looked at her beautiful litter-4 kits. But...what was this? One of the kits was much smaller than the others, and instead of mewing quietly, he was gasping for breath. One more gasping breath, a slight flick of his tail, and he was gone. Lost. Bloomtail's tears streaked her face and landed on the lost kit. She shifted her attention away from him to try not to cry anymore. But there was something in the back of her mind, that would always be there. There was a small she-cat with a white pastel pelt and a brown underbelly. Bloomtail decided to name her Briarkit. Another tom, one with a grayish pelt and giant fluff, was already flattening his ears. Bloomtail wanted to call him Sharpkit. And last but not least, a beautiful almost-pale pink she-cat was still lying down, but not acting strange like her deceased brother. The rising and falling of her body was graceful like some of the swans Bloomtail had seen at night with Softbreeze. Her name was Lotuskit now. Bloomtail glared at the sky. Throw anything at me and my kits, StarClan. Because I bet you they can make it through anything. First: Next: Thursday, June 12 Previous: impossible! >:0 Author's corner-------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone! I came up with a written warrior cats story. I wanted a comfort story, one that I didn't feel pressured to draw, so I came up with this. Whenever I'm feeling stressed or just don't want to work on Island of Sunvale (that's the new comic series name by the way), new chapters of this are guaranteed. Hope you like the adventures of Briarkit, Sharpkit, and Lotuskit! I actually love it and it's my own story haha Art and story by Fun Fact: Bloomtail would have named the lost kit Orangekit.
