So this is kinda still a WIP, so I don't know if it's eligible (because even I don't know all the details yet), but here goes. My story is about some sort of generic city after a big bombing. 'Villain gangs' (a term I definitely didn't get from Renegades) have taken over, beginning a time period known as the Chaos. Amid this chaos, there is a group of kids, led by a teen who calls himself the Captain, that forms to help protect the city and defeat the villains, hence they are known as the Protectors (which is also the title of my story). The rest of the story takes place 11 years later, and centers around a girl named Cass. She is now 18, and has been fighting the villains basically on her own, as she is more of the 'lone wolf' type. She is aided in one of her missions by her friend Priya, who she saved when the Chaos started and has been attached to her ever since. Priya has a somewhat bubbly attitude, and she expects everyone to like her. She is really enthusiastic and kind of immature, and deep inside feels useless. She also is really good at driving a motorcycle. Another character, who I hope to explore more later on, is David. David is obsessed with his tools, but has been shaken ever since the Chaos started. He is the main builder of the Protectors, having made communication wristbands and all sorts of other non-lethal weapons for the fieldwork team. (I'm assuming he also has trauma, but I haven't written about him much yet. WIP, remember?) The Captain, who is now 26 (I don't know why I made him that old) is a character that I haven't talked much about, but might later on. He developed a Code at the beginning and formed the Protectors, but he didn't know what he was getting himself into, and while being somewhat overprotective, he is also obsessed with the whole 'do no harm' rule. (maybe he wanted to become a doctor or something. I don't really know yet.) There are other members of the Protectors, but I don't think they're that important. The bad guys are just villains. There is one gang that keeps coming back (which we will see later on) that I have not figured out a name for, but that has a whole twist or something. I haven't written it yet. I don't know what any of my characters look like. The world itself is in shambles, people are barely scraping by, I have no clue how they survived this long and I don't want to ask.
