So I've been reading "This is Why we Lie" by Gabrielle Lepore, and SPOILERS, there's this part where the main character thinks she knows who the murderer is, and she texts her friend about it and asks to meet her (the friend's boyfriend was one of the people who was killed). Anyways, the friend texts back and says to meet her in this cabin in the woods, where the students at the boy's school Rookwood usually hold parties. And when she gets there, something feels off, so she sends a voice mail to her aunt (who is a cop) and tells her where she is. After she goes in, she finds her friend, who is tied up. I actually got super excited at this part, because this character is pretty smart when it comes to this kind of stuff, so I was REALLY happy when she did this, lol! I was ecstatic to come across an actually smart horror book character xD If you want to read the text excerpt, full screen is a lot more clear haha **if you're confused, I was happy because she told someone where she was going, which is pretty rare is horror content, I should think**
