nimbus is an.. odd group. how about we start at the beginning? many moon-cycles ago, there were no groups. cats lived alone and fought for themselves. but one day, four cats decided to change that. they gathered their friends and family and formed four groups, known as nimbus, dazzle, shatter, and feather. as time went on, the groups became more unique. each had different traditions and roles. but one.. one had a /very/ special tradition. the lightning rituals. there used to be a commander of nimbus that was struck by lightning. they grew to despise the clan that had done nothing when they were injured. when they died, they went to the lost cavern. the cats of nimbus mourned, but life continued on. then one day, predators started attacking much more than usual, specifically targeting the nursery. a medic received a message from the afterlife. "leave at least one kit outside during storms, or nimbus will fall to its namesake." the group was shaken, and despite not wanting to give up their kits, they obliged. the next time it stormed, four kits were left out in the rain. only two returned to camp the next day, both heavily injured. ever since then, nimbus has continued this tradition, but it's changed over time. ƒяєqυєη¢у if a kit gets a small injury, such as a minor burn or scrape, then the next sacrifice happens in four moon-cycles. if a kit gets a large injury, such as a major burn or loss of a limb, then the next sacrifice happens in six moon-cycles. if a kit dies, then the next sacrifice happens in eight moon-cycles. нσω ∂σ кιтѕ gєт ѕєℓє¢тє∂? don't worry, it's not random. you have to sign up your kit for them to get sacrificed. however, if no kits are sacrificed, the spirits won't be happy...
