Ranboo was a strange wolf, his fur was light grey on the bottom of his body, but on his upper body it went from light brown to a dark chocolate colour. He and his sister, Niki had almost the same body type both small runts of their family but had very different fur colour. Niki's fur was a perfect snow white, and she was almost identical to their great grandmother. This made Niki their mum's favourite. Ranboo's cave, or his home you could say, as it was where he had grown up, was sometimes a bit too dark. Sometimes he wished for contact with different wolves. Just having his family in his pack was very annoying as the only one he got along with was his twin sister. Niki, Ranboo's sister, was a very abnormal wolf but in a good way, as that's what Ranboo enjoyed about her. A long time ago, way before his time, his family was banished from their old pack. Yet no one had ever told him why. - The truth was that no one actually knew why in the first place-. His father was a cruel wolf; he cared for no one but himself. Niki and Ranboo spent all their free time together, and they even still shared a room in the cave. Niki and Ranboo were inseparable. Having grown up together, it was hard to think what life would be like without each other, or their family... "Hey Niki" Ranboo said to his sister one rainy day as they were waking up. "Yeah?" "It's so boring here, now that were teenagers" this was true, now days Ranboo would have nothing to do almost all day except when hunting with Niki his sister. "Yeah, we should run away" a smile formed on her face at first Ranboo thought she was joking but she was serious "I mean it's not like we like it here anyway so what's the trouble in leaving?" "It's a good idea... I LIKE IT!" Ranboo screeched. "I knew you'd like it Ranboo, when should we leave?" Ranboo thought for a bit about it before answering his sister. "In two moons?" "Sound's good, man" This feeling was strange to the young wolf. The trouble they would be in if they got caught and the possibility of meeting other wolves it made it feel so exhilarating. The next day Ranboo was practising his pouncing. Dad had said he needed to work on it which meant he had to or there would be big trouble. Niki was waiting till their mum got home from the pond. She needed something from her that would make the runaway easier. Their Father needed to be busy hunting for food when they are running away. When their Mum got to the den, Niki took her shot. "Mum?" "Yes honey" "Can you do something for me?" a small fake laugh came from her mum. "Sure Hun, what is it?" "Could you keep dad busy for a bit tomorrow?" Niki's voice got a bit quieter to make sure her father couldn't hear. "I will, but can I ask why?" Niki's mind started to pound. How would she cover this? She knew she couldn't just say the truth. "She wants to hunt on her own without dad" Ranboo said coming around the corner of the caves entrance. "Yeah" Niki laughed to try cover the nerves. "You should have just said that hun of course I can" "Thanks, mum" Niki said as walking off to her and Ranboo's room. It was finally time to go. Niki and Ranboo were laying next each other. They had decided to go at night so that they were covered by the dark. This was exciting, waiting till their father went out for the big hunt with their mother. "Ranboo" Niki whispered while rolling over to face him. "Niki" "It's time to go" she said getting up quietly "Okay" Ranboo said getting up as well. They slowly walked out of the cave to not make any noise.
