Spider Pikmin Scientific Name: Pikminidae adhaerensa Family: Pikmin Family The so-called "Spider Pikmin" is not a true arachnid in any scientific sense, possessing only four limbs rather than eight. However, their low, skittering posture and wall-crawling prowess earned them the nickname early in exploration logs, and it stuck. These Pikmin walk on all fours when idle or moving, but rise onto their hind legs and use their clawlike arms to lift, carry, or attack. Their dual-purpose limbs make them agile climbers and efficient haulers in confined vertical spaces. Most notably, Spider Pikmin are entirely unaffected by Mushroom Spores, making them invaluable in fungal-infested zones. These spores confuse or disable other Pikmin types, but Spider Pikmin behave as if nothing is wrong.
In short, they climb walls and can walk on sticky stuff.
