Hello everyone! If I have done my math right, which I'm not completely sure I have but will go with anyways, today is Weaselcharm's 1st birthday. Wow. It's so hard to believe that Weaselcharm, my first character in TFCRP, turns a year old today. I have been roleplaying with this guy for a whole year, which is honestly crazy. This guy has been through so much, so I just want to give my thanks and give a summary of my journey before and with this guy. Back on April 2nd, 2023, I made a post saying that I was officially leaving Scratch. This was intended to be a permanent decision, as I was losing motivation to post on Scratch and wanted to move over to other social medias (which i have btw!). I was gone for a total of eight months, until something slowly began pulling me back in, that thing being TFCRP. My journey into TFCRP began with a kit named Sicomorokit. Sicomoro was a preclaim kit that as far as I recall, was never discussed on scratch. He was a kit that was going to be born into a family in Thunderclan. However, something happened, and Sicomorokit never became real. I was invested in TFCRP at that point however, and decided to try and join litters. For around 6 months, I applied to several different litters, until one day in May, a litter caught my eye: Three Little Lambs. And there was one specific kit that I wanted to apply for. His name was Weaselkit. I applied for Weaselkit with a picture clearly in mind: A confident, flamboyant cat with boundless energy and a love for all things colorful. When I first made his application, he really held no interest in plants and generally hated bugs! Looking back, it's crazy how much he changed. I was absolutely over the moon when the results were out and I won Weaselkit. He was a fighter from the very beginning, an energetic bundle of fur who just wanted to play and explore with his siblings. To be honest though? His kit era wasn't his most exciting, as everything I wanted to do with him revolved around him being able to explore the territory. In the blink of an eye, Weaselkit became Weaselpaw. He never ended up getting a mentor, which is something I used to mold him into the character he is today! So despite him not following a traditional apprenticeship, that actually ended up being the biggest impact on his character. This is where he slowly became the plant lover he is known for today. His early warrior moons were tough. There were so many times where I considered killing him off because I just couldn't find my footing with the character. His life wasn't going the way I wanted it to, especially since I felt like I couldn't find anything to do with him other than talk to other cats about... plants. He had no plot development, and was generally a very static, very generically friendly guy. He was chosen to go on a journey to Riverclan, sure, but that was about the only interesting thing that happened to the guy. He had no friends, barely interacted with his family, and really didn't have any significant dynamics with anyone. Jan 9th, Weaselcharm was 29 moons old. I posted his coming out SRP where he came out, mostly to himself, as bisexual. Shortly after, I posted his relationship finder project, and he met Orcapond. This was significant to me because I felt like Weaselcharm was finally getting some meaningful dynamics in his life. I was getting more and more invested in his character, and roleplaying with him was getting a lot more fun! I finally felt like I knew what I wanted to do with his character. When The Calamity happened, I was already happy with where Weaselcharm was at. Sure, I was itching to explore his more egotistical side, but the Calamity offered me the opportunity to roleplay with Weaselcharm in an environment he hated. A recently injured Weaselcharm, surrounded by water? He probably hated that, to be honest. That guy HATES water. But soon, Weaselcharm's life changed in ways I didn't expect. Not only did he get his first ever apprentice, but he also became the new deputy of Shadowclan. I was shocked. Him? The deputy? I had only been in TFCRP for nine months at that point, and with me not having a footing on Weaselcharm's character until recently, I absolutely did not see it coming. But I was thrilled, and so, Weaselcharm became deputy. This gave a lot of chance for Weaselcharm's character to grow. It allowed me to explore his more confident and self-centered vibe, since he absolutely believed he deserved it. And the conflict with Helleborestar? It gave me a chance to explore the worst of him, to see how he acts when he has a conflict with someone. I'm so beyond grateful for this chance to characterize Weaselcharm even further. Also can i just say that its always so fun when i see Weaselcharm brought up in other roleplays?? It's like, woah, this guy exists in other people's minds too? wow. So here we are today. Weaselcharm is deputy, he has a partner, he's about to become a father, and he has dynamics and [cont]
[cont] motives and all of the things. I'ce explored his kinder, more happy side, and I've explored the side of his character that is a sinister, self-centered, hateful cat. I'd like to thank every one of you thats been along for the ride, and I'll be back with another yap on Weasel's 2nd birthday <3 Song is jumpsuit by Twenty One Pilots art by me og design by @Northglens
