if you know me personally, you likely already know i love horror fiction podcasts. im not on this site enough for most people to know i love horror fiction podcasts so hey!! i like Malevolent, The Magnus Archives, and Camp Here and There!! the first horror fiction podcast i ever listened to was CH&T which i found because i really like Will Wood and he wrote the soundtrack. The first episode of season two happens to be premiering today!! For those of you who have not listened to CH&T, change that right now, here's a quick summary of the basic plot: Sydney O. Sargent, is a camp nurse and announcer at Camp Here and There, along Jedidiah A. A. Martin, his assistant nurse and close friend. on the first day of the summer, Sydney has reports of a man in a pink elephant mask written in his announcement notes that could be dangerous. what are that guy's plans? why is Jedidiah becoming increasingly distant with Sydney? is anyone in this podcast okay? you'll have to listen to find out! i'm going to put a spoiler barrier here but everything past it will assume you've already listened to the podcast and know the plot, so. be aware!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I have 14 pages worth of notes on this podcast. I am so normal about them. First of all, if you haven't read the episode descriptions, you are missing out on a whole separate plotline. The episode descriptions are written by some sort of agency studying the campsite. They note several times that they're trying to understand the "limn", and my hypothesis is that the limn is some kind of action that someone, likely Jedidiah, took that changed the world as we know it. All of the characters, in these notes, are written as ENTITIES, Jedidiah being ENTITY1, Sydney being ENTITY2, Lucille being ENTITY3 and so forth. Here's three facts I've found reading these agency notes and taking my own: - Episode 9 notes imply that Yvonne and Joshua had some kind of knowledge over something Jedidiah was doing, likely the necromancy, but they either are keeping his secrets or had their memories wiped, the former being more likely, as “I do not trust [Joshua] to keep his mouth shut in a swarm of locusts” - Relating to the previous note, this is a note taken verbatim from episode 12's description: "[Sydney]’s image of its own past is fascinating — snippets of fact bound by a glutinous membrane of contradictory fictions; a smorgasbord of half-truths which seems to collapse under the faintest scrutiny. One wonders whether other pre-limn minds function similarly — see my notes on memory retention in FILE9" - Episode 33/34 notes mention that the Agency is trying to intercept Elijah before he catches a flight to Arkhangelsk; I'm thinking maybe, considering the episodes are each files that the Agency has on the camp, we'll hear some kind of interrogation between an agent and Elijah sometime in the future. I hope they treat him as awfully as he treated Sydney <3 Long story short, very excited for season 2, very excited to meet Up and Adam, i am filled with unbridled joy!!
