☆ | GWDFI Manager Application By Mabel <3 ————— ☆ | Hello, I’m Mabel, nice to meet ya! My pronouns are she/her! I’m 13 years old and 14 on August 27th, I’m also a curator of GWDFI, and have been for about a year, starting on @Bxbblx, then @Rikohaemi, and now @CandleIight :D I really value the GWDFI community and I really enjoy interacting with them! :3 ☆ | I really like anime, reading, writing, drawing, and music from the 80s and 90s! My favourites anime’s are SxF, KnY, OHSHC & The Apothecary Diaries :D ☆ | I worked very hard on this application, so um- enjoy, I guess? xD ☆ | Also, just to clarify: my timezone is IST, and I joined GWDFI in late 2023, around October or November, maybe December :] ————— ☆ | Why I Think I’d Be A Good Manager :D ————— ☆ | GWDFI is a space that means a lot to me, even though I’ve only been active there for about a year, and I want to help make it as kind, fun, and safe as possible! :D I think I’d be a good fit for multiple reasons, including: - I stay calm during tense / overwhelming / stressful moments and aim to help without bias :] - I’m extremely mature for my age (in my opinion). - I never make suggestive comments. I avoid them at all costs, they make me quite uncomfortable- - I respect other’s opinions, even when I don’t agree. - I always try to report to the current host of the studio if there’s spam or someone broke a rule, to keep the studio as safe and fun as possible :D - I know the rules well and am familiar with them, and I’ve read over them multiple times. I would also make sure to remind people of the rules when necessary <3 - I value teamwork very much and would work with other managers kindly and respectfully. - I’m creative, organized, and genuinely enjoy being active in the community <3 - I always try to make sure people feel seen and appreciated - that’s something very important to me. Whenever anyone is feeling down or vents at all, I always try to reply to them and make sure they’re ok :] - I’m young - I know this probably doesn’t really matter, but I’m 14 years old and I don’t intend to leave Scratch anytime soon. (You know, as in people tend to outgrow Scratch a lot of the time and then abandon it) - I understand that being a GWDFI manager can be a stressful and overwhelming responsibility, and even though sometimes it might feel hard or stressful, I’m ready for it <3 - I’m doing quite well mentally - of course, it’s totally fine not to be doing ok, and we all have that time in our lives when we feel down for various reasons. But this means that I’m probably much less likely to get too overwhelmed or stressed that I’ll completely shut down if something stressful / overwhelming happens. ————— ☆ | Why I Might *Not* Be The Best Manager ————— ☆ | I’m not perfect, and I want to be honest about that. Here are some things that might make me not a great choice: - I might need reminders sometimes - I can be quite forgetful. I might need reminders of small things though, not of important things, such as the host’s choice of the song of the day. - I’ve accidentally broken the rules a few times. Not too many times at all, and they’ve all been accidental, and that was mostly on , but I still did. Everyone makes mistakes though, and I’ve learned from those mistakes :] - I’m still learning how to speak up firmly when needed, but I’m growing in confidence every day and I’m proud of myself for that :D - Even though I’ve been on GWDFI for about a year I think I got quite forgotten when I went on hiatus on for a few months. People might be more comfortable with having a manager they’re more familiar with, and I totally understand that <3 - There’s always the chance I could get too overwhelmed and stressed while managing and kinda… shut down. The chances of this happening for me are low though, irl I’m quite good at handling stressful situations calmly and I only remember me shutting down during a situation like that once or twice when I was younger. Even with these things in mind, I’m always open to feedback and willing to grow. I take responsibility seriously, and I want to be someone the studio can count on </3 ————— ☆ | Final Thoughts :D ————— ☆ | Whether or not I’m chosen, I’ll continue being a supportive and active member of GWDFI :D I really do care about this space and the people in it. If given the chance, I’d love to give back by helping it grow, thrive, and stay safe for everyone. ☆ | Tysm for reading! </3
