Click her: NOTE I made this because I am a star trek fan, if you have not seen star trek the original series you will probably not understand. For people who don't understand: Star Trek the original series was aired in 1966, 1967, and 1969, and Uhura was one of the main characters from the beginning. She is my favorite woman character in the series, notwithstanding the fact that there's only two (well maybe three but Yeoman Rand was not really that recurring and was pretty much dropped after Season 2: Episode 13: The Squire of Gothos), and, unusually at the time, she was black. She was Kenyan, spoke Swahili and English, and in some pre-Nurse Chapel episodes (Season 1: Episode 1: The Man Trap and Episode 2: Charlie X) she seemed to be in love with Spock, however in Season 2: Episode 15: The Trouble With Tribbles, she goes shopping with Chekov. She was played by Nichelle Nichols, and, and this is really cool, at one stage she wanted to quit but she got a letter from Martin Luther King (!) telling her she was doing really important work and to keep it up. Finally, I'm putting this project in an SDS, which has been my dream since the island one!
The woman is a recolor of @aleynesansonnet's project at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/75387794/, and this was inspired by the best TV show ever, Star Trek: The Original Series. P.S. This is my first interactive project, and my first project with variables. P.P.S. I stuffed the instructions with information about Star Trek in general and Uhura in particular, but if you have a question about it feel free to ask! (I may be weird and crazy but I am also a Starfleet officer.) P.P.P.S. If you know about Star Trek, and you see I got a fact wrong, please tell me so I can fix it.
