Story: When Pirate still sailed the oceans with his Captain and the crew, about when he was only 9 months old, they docked one afternoon near a large wooded continent. America. Pirate and the Captain decided to go explore the forest near the oceans, and with every corner, there was new scents, new things, new adventure to discover. Pirate perched on the Captain's shoulder, viewing the new land through is bright, ocean blue eyes, full of curiosity and excitement. That's when he met Seirei. She was a small, 6 month old bright and lively raccoon, with sky blue eyes and soft, light grey fur. She was running across a river with what seemed to be a twin brother. It wasn't what most people called "love at first sight". Pirate didn't run like that. He ran by who seemed lively, who seemed adventurous like him, and he just had to know that raccoon better first, before deciding. He chirred to The Captain and told him that he wanted to explore a little on his own. So the Captain set Pirate down to explore on his own paws, and Captain promised to meet him back at the shoreline, near the rowboat, when the sun was setting. And off the Captain went, slashing his sword through any branch that blocked his way with such swiftness that you wouldn't believe it was held by a imperfect pirate hand. And Pirate was soon off on his own, to find the soft female raccoon. It wasn't long before he saw her playing with her brother near the river, splashing each other in the cool, cold, running river. Seirei's brother was already out of the river, but Seirei was still playfully splashing at him. Her brother supposed like he was having enough, and chirred that he'd be going back to the den with their mom for the rest of the afternoon until nightfall, when they'd go out hunting. She watched painfully as her brother padded away, leaving her behind with no one to talk or play with. Pirate sensed that it was a good time for him to appear out of the bushes he was watching in, and he jumped out of the bush with a rustle. Seirei jerked her head around and stared at Pirate. Pirate was stunned at the curiosity in her soft, light blue eyes, and didn't know what to say for a while. "Um.... Hi...?" Seirei tipped her head to a side in confusion at who he was. "O-Oh, Hi," Pirate stammered. "My ship is docking here for the night, and I decided I would explore. I was looking around and, er, i guess i bumped into you...." "Um, okay! Do you want to hang out with me? It's really fun and cool in the river, come on, jump in!" Seirei friendly invited. "Sure!" Pirate jumped in and the cold shocked him at first, but he soon got used to it, the cold relaxed his body, and they splashed around in the river for a little, then Seirei showed Pirate around her forest. Pirate suddenly remembered that he had promised the Captain to meet him at the shoreline. Humans couldn't see well in the dark, so Pirate had to hurry over. Seirei followed, anyways. When they got to a cliff near the shoreline, the sun was setting, and the view was breathtaking. The sky was lit a light purple, and everything looked stunning. They both just stood their for a while to take in the view. "U-Um, I don't even know your name." Pirate nervously stammered. "My Name's Seirei! What's your's?" "Oh, my name's Pirate~ nice to meet you Seirei..." "Pirate, that's a cool name!" Seirei responded with her usual excitement and interest. There was a pause for some time. "..... Seirei?" Pirate asked. "Yeah?" ".....um...... i like you ♥" Pirate blushed at what he said. ".......R-really...? Oh, um..... I like you too~" Seirei blushed, then nuzzled Pirate. "PIRATE!!! Piiiiiraaaate; where did you scurry off to on your tiny paws?!" Pirate turned his head toward the shoreline and saw the Captain calling for his missing raccoon. "I have to go, Seirei..... I promise you, I'll come back some day....." "Pirate..... you know you're a pirate, we'll probably never meet again....." Seirei's voice was almost a whisper. "I'll find a way, Seirei. This can't be the last time i see you~" Pirate ran over across to the shoreline. "I'll find some way to see you again, I promise!!!" It wasn't long before Pirate was on his mighty ship again, and he watched Seirei as they became farther apart as the wind hit the sails and carried their ship once more. "I'll see you again, I promise, Seirei....." Pirate whispered as the stars twinkled in the night sky.... Several months passed. They both changed. Seirei had become more of a spirit in a raccoon figure and lost her family in a fire. Pirate had lost his right eye and his ship had sunk due to other pirate ships.. Both of their adventurous and playful spirit was gone. But Pirate never forgot his promise. He still hoped that he'd see her again, even if she had changed, he still thought about her from time to time..... "I'll find a way, Seirei, I promise......"
