/!\ Spoilers /!\ I’m thinking about adapting STRANDED a bit if I ever draw it, I just want to know if these changes are OK: Chryssalid scene: more emotions, less “oh yeah I have healing powers which I could have used whenever, just chose not to because I’m CHAOTIC good, not neutral good” Ice’s lore: Mimic was created during the Chryssalid scene. Less trauma. Knows less about her powers. Powers used less in general. AVENGER part 1: Glitch doesn’t know about the Mimic. Battle scene lasts longer.
@1eloise1 BONUS NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN MATERIAL: /!\ Spoilers, themes of [unalivement] (not seen) /!\ Glitch sat in silence next to the stasis tube her girlfriend now occupied. A month had passed since the battle, and if all had gone well, she and Ice would be playing a VR sim, or out on an easy mission like any other day. But it hadn't, and now here they were. She barely registered the sound of the portal activating, but she heard the voice crystal clear. "Hey? Ice?" She knew that voice. "Ryley..." she sighed. Just who she needed. Another friend to break the news to. "What is it?" he asked. "I think it's best if you see for yourself." Ryley walked into the stasis chamber, footsteps echoing on the metal floor. "Is... is that..." "Yes. It's Ice. Chryssalid poison." she explained hurriedly. She couldn't let her emotions get the better of her. "She's stable for now, if you can call it that, but it's been a month..." "Is there a cure?" he asked. "There could be one way, but... no. It's too risky." Glitch decided. "Risky is fine. I've done risky before." "There's an antivenom, in one of the ADVENT facilities. But those things are too heavily guarded for any of us to get in, let alone steal something." "I'm not one of you." he pointed out. "Ryley, no. It wouldn't work. You'd be kiIled." "I don't care about the danger. Where am I going, and what am I getting?" As soon as he said those words, a stream of information rushed into his head, and he flinched. "There." Glitch sighed. "That'll tell you everything you need to know." About 2 hours later, Ryley stood outside the facility, wearing a borrowed set of armour and seriously regretting going alone. "Well... we're $%^&ed." "You don't say, human." He whipped around to see a very familiar ghost leaning against a tree. "What do want this time?" he muttered. "I'm here to make a deal. We both need something. I could give you the antivenom now... for a price." the Mimic replied. "There's a catch, isn't there?" "Nope. No tricks, no lies. You get the antivenom, I get one of your memories. Seems like a fair deal to me." "Memories? What are you going to do to me?" "Take one or two of them. None you'd want to think about anyway, I assure you. You don't even have to remember I was here." Ryley looked over at the heavily guarded facility. Back at the Mimic. Back at the facility. "No. I'm not taking a deal from you. Ever." "Suit yourself. Try to enjoy life without my host, because you're never getting that antivenom by yourself." Suddenly, he realised he couldn't move. He couldn't move, and it was getting hard to think... "F-fine..." he murmured, and suddenly he had control of his body again. "Good. This shouldn't hurt... not too much anyway." Then the world went dark. He woke up back on the Avenger, next to Ice's stasis tube. It was empty, its inhabitant standing a short distance away. "Hey, you. You're finally awake." Ice said. "You're alive!" "What else would I be? Glitch told me what happened. Thank you. Thank you so, so much." she smiled, kneeling down and awkwardly hugging him. One week later, Ryley returned to 4546B. "I was wondering when you'd come back." Robin said to him as he stepped through the portal. "So, are you coming?" "Coming to what?" "Have you really forgotten?" She looked worried, though Ryley couldn't work out why. "Forgotten what?" he asked, confused. "Your sister." "What...? I have a sister?" "Had." Robin replied. "She d!ed seven years ago today. Do you... do you really not remember?"
