20 Questions for Writers! (To Make You Think Hard) WARNING: Several of these questions will make you think. If, for any reason, you are not able to think hard, please do not attempt to answer them. You will only injure yourself. I disclaim all responsibility for these injuries. 1. Q: What got you interested in writing? A: Reading and school (Ik, I'm crazy! XD) 2. Q: Did you always like writing? A: Yup, for as long as I can remember 3: Q: What is the story that has just been sitting around in your brain, waiting to come to life? Is it just a vague idea that catches your heart, or is it already an elaborate story? A: My WIP wasn't even a vague idea, I literally just started writing about a boy and girl, and it all started to fall into place! Usually I plan before 4. Q: What makes a story catch your heart? A: Romance <3 5. Q: Do you think that there's a pattern that all good stories follow, or are they all different? A: I think it can be different, but most usually follow a pattern 6. Q: Did you ever cry over your own writing? Laugh over it? Shiver over it? A: No, but I almost did! I've definitely laughed! And totally shivered lol 7. Q: What do you despise in stories? A: Bad characters, boring, no development, no plot (etc) 8. Q: What makes a story bad (in your opinion)? A: Same as the last question, and wayyyyyy too many swears or characters that complain so much 9. Q: Which is more important in a story: emotional depth, or an interesting plot? A: Both are super important! Idk! 10. Q: Is there a specific thing your stories tend to center around? (Ex: setting, personality of character, genre, ect.) A: Usually romance, I don't think I've wrote much without even when I was younger 11. Q: Do you plan to become an author someday? A: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12. Q: If so, how do you think authors can influence the world for good by their writing? A: Good morals! 13. Q: What are your favorite themes (morals or messages) in stories? A: Idk, somth like being a good person, or being urself and not changing who you are for some guy/girl 14. Q: What are the cliches you hate the most? A: Idrk! (I can't think of any rn, but I'll add some if I can) 15. Q: Is there a way to make those cliches not so bad? Do you think you could do it if you set out to try? A: Same as last question :) 16. Q: What is the genre you hate the most? A: Oof, Idk! 17. Q: What if you tried to write it? What would happen? A: Idk, if it was smth scary, I would make myself scared, if it was adult fiction, I would make it too kiddie 18. Q: What makes a character lovable? A: Relatablity, and cuteness 19. Q: Is it possible for a non-lovable character to make you care deeply about them? A: Yup 20. Q: How can you make your story touch your reader and impact their life? A: IDK!
