Winter walked around camp. It was the same as always. He had just finished a full day of hunting and patrolling but now he has to go do an entire night's watch at the camp entrance. He sat down, and just watched the trees and the bushes, seeing if anyone or anything came. Eventually Fallow came out of camp, giving him a finch. Winter ate it, smiling. He was head over heels for her and he was pretty sure she felt the same. He finished eating and sat down again but he felt... off. He shook it off as being tired but it got worse. His vision was blurring and he couldn't hear anything. He realized that there'd been something in the finch. He tried to walk into camp, to see if he could get a replacement for guard duty and sleep it off but collapsed after two steps. He groaned, looking up he was Fallow standing there, holding a vine. He felt betrayed then, was out. When Winter came to he was in a locked den, tied up tightly, Hail next to him and tied up but not as much. Winter tried to get free. Finch(his dad) walked in and frowned seeing Winter awake. He walked away and came back with a bundle wrapped around something. He opened it up and untied Winters mouth. He roughly shoved the leaf down his throat as Winter tried to ask what was going on?! Finch sat there till Winter felt like he was barely awake. He laid there, his eyes open but mind sluggish and not able to move well. Hail just laid there in defeat. The next day, Finch, Tulip(their mom), and Fallow walked in. Finch picked up Hail and Fallow grabbed Winter and they walked off. Winter was just recovering from what they'd fed him and tried to get free, fear and betrayal in his eyes. "What's going on? Fallow? Mom? Please tell me!" He begged but they ignored him. They arrived at a cliff, a roaring waterfall next to them dropped down hundreds of feet into a deep pool. While keeping them pinned, Winter and Hail were untied. "Fallow had a vision the other night. A strange beast ordered us to either throw you two off this cliff, or the river would flood the whole camp." Finch explained with a cold and uncaring tone. Fallows smile told Winter everything "She's lying! She didn't see a vision of that! She just wants us gone! Please!" Winter cried trying to get free. Finch ignored him and they picked the pair up. Winter looked at the edge, knowing how far the ground, and the water below were. He felt Fallow swing her head back, then he went flying through the air, Hail with him as they dropped down. Winter looked up, seeing how coldly the three stared at him. He looked at Hail, who also looked hurt by their actions but not outraged. Winter yowled as he landed in a tree, hitting too many branches before he was knocked out by a hard hit to the head. Winter eventually came to, he found himself snagged on a low branch, he groaned blinking to full awareness. He saw Hail nearby, snagged on a root in the river. He was either dead or just unconscious but Winter would figure it out when he got down. He tried to get up but found his front left shoulder in anguish when he moved it. He looked over and saw his leg was twisted and had a branch going through it. He groaned and looked himself over for any other injuries. He found lots of cuts and bruises from hitting the branches but luckily his bruised and cracked ribs had broken most his fall. He managed to get free, letting out a cry of pain when he landed on his bad leg. He only then noticed how much blood was on the ground under where he had been suspended. He realized his neck had a gash on it and his stabbed leg was oozing pretty bad. Winter limped over to Hail, everything hurt with every step but he'd always been told to 'just keep working' so he did. He got to Hail and dragged him to shore. Hail thankfully looked mostly ok. His sides were torn up from rocks and fallen trees in the river and he likely had a concussion, ok both of them did, but otherwise he seemed fine. Winter got Hail to a tree and tucked him under it a bit so he was safe. Winter yanked the branch out of his leg, screaming. He managed to get it to stop bleeding and sat down. He just sat for a minute then he just yelled, wordlessly for a minute or two. He yelled in anger of all they had put him through, just for Fallow to betray him and try to kill him. Eventually Hail woke and the two moved on. Winter held on however. He knew he should let go of the past but his anger at those three, at the whole camp, never faded even a bit. He would get his revenge on day. One day.
