BIoodred - Book one in the series 'Return Of The Red Wolves' -A summary of your story (preferably in a decent amount of detail) This is the most important thing on this list! Red Wolves are almost extinct. Therefore, humans have decided to take matters into their own hands. Cloning the rare species, to revive the population, they've restored them to around a thousand, much more than the five left before this. They're on a new step in this process now; attempting to clone wolves at full grown size and age, to speed up the breeding process. After a few months of trying, 01907B is born, with the formula perfected... or so they think. -the main characters (preferably including antagonists), explaining their personality and backstory 01907B (He/Him) is a resilient and stubborn Red Wolf, and is eager to learn as much as he can about the world. He finds it easy to figure out how things work, and harder to actually make them work. He is compassionate and cares deeply for his friends and family, but finds it hard to learn to trust others. 01907B, commonly referred to as B, doesn't know much about his past, finding it strange, and somehow scary when he sees pups, having no memory of his early life. "I may not know much, but I know I'm loyal to those I trust." Mahogany (She/Her) is a clever, feisty Red Wolf, and is often overly ambitious. She's strictly independent, and will refuse help no matter who's asking, which can easily get her into problems. However, Mahogany is smart, and a talented hunter. She finds it amazing to teach others stuff, and really likes helping them learn. Mahogany was raised for her whole life in her pack, born to Carmine (mother) and Burgundy (father). She has always looked up to the others in her pack, but mostly lived a normal life, with the exception of Burgundy's d3@th while Mahogany was still young. "Learning is a requirement. Teaching is a privilege." -an expert of your story (optional) The experiment was almost complete. With one final drop of liquid, it would be finished. Tester 17 carefully lifted the syringe to the beaker. The mixture turned red, and Tester 17 smiled. Success. The beaker now contained Red Wolf dna. They had been working on this project for months, and had so far managed to create over a thousand. Each wolf was a step on the ladder, a step closer to their goal. Tester 17 thought that this one would likely fail, because there was no surrogate mother. They injected the tube into the host, and stood back to watch as a new life form came to be. It had red fur, like all others of its species, pointed ears, powerful legs, and beady eyes. As it rose to its paws, Tester 17 saw, in its eyes, something that none of the clones that the lab had raised from pups had. Intelligence. (This is the prologue, I'll add a bit more in the comments :D) -basic lore for your fantasy world (if applies) All Red Wolves from the Wild are named after shades of red and orange. Lab wolves are given a combination of numbers for a name, followed by a singular letter. Packs are ruled by a leading female, and males have no say in anything, their only job is to hunt. Purplesuits are referring to the humans who work at the Lab, because they wear purple suits. (That's what the wolves call them) -any additional details you wish to provide This is set on earth in the near future, and humans' technology is much more advanced.
