This is a 99% accurate hexadecimal converter. If you input a string e.g. "hello", it will output "68656C6C6F" If you input a string e.g. "0x68 0x65 0x6C 0x6C 0x6F", it will output "hello" NOTE: THIS PROGRAM CANNOT DISTINGUISH BETWEEN "0x00", "0x13" & "0x20". IT DEFAULTS TO 0x00 FOR USE IN MIDI FILES! CHANGELOG: V1: Made the converter V2: Fixed Byte Symbols list, added redundancy for unknown characters V3: Fixed a bug where "0" was being read as "0x09" when it should be "0x30" Fixed other characters This project is originally for a MIDI player:(https://turbowarp.org/770947194/fullscreen) This project can tell capital and lowercase letters apart! Scratch reads < A = a > as "true", so I had to make a workaround. I did this by modifying the JSON code of the sprite by creating 256 costumes with the right character names. When you run "[Set costume to (a)]" it sets the costume to the correct character, not which comes first. Whilst this makes the code very accurate, it is still unable to make a 100% accurate coversion. Q: Why can't it be 100% accurate? A: You cannot make a 100% accurate converter to my knowledge, as scratch reads some characters the same (e.g. 0x00, 0x20 and 0xC0), and some not at all. Q: How long did this take to make? A: Too long. (about a day) Q: Do you plan on updating and maintaining this project? A: While I do plan on working on it for a little while longer, there is only so much that I can do with scratch's limitations.
