Introduced in 1989, the Skyline GT-R was a performance focused variant of the R32 Nissan Skyline. Commonly referred to as "Godzilla," the R32 GT-R saw a range of limited edition versions such as the Nismo, V-Spec I, and V-Spec II, but the base model was still an incredibly capable car. The standard GT-R was anything but, featuring Nissan's legendary RB26DETT engine, which was a twin-turbocharged 2.6L inline six unit that was rated at 276hp, although actual power figures were higher. In addition to the RB26DETT, the GT-R was equipped with Nissan's HICAS four wheel steering system, as well as the ATTESA all wheel drive system. This highly capable chassis and drivetrain used a 5 speed manual transmission to send drive to the wheels. Production of the R32 Nissan Skyline Base Model lasted until 1994. (Classic.com)
