As the name suggests, these are quite similar to locusts. They will eat anything in their way, including stones, plants, and even the particles in the water, drifting and eating. The won't eat flesh, but if provoked they emit the iron from the food they eat in the form of a cloud at high speeds, mixed with some of their stomach acids, to fend off predators. (They are not harmed, as their body is covered with the same mucus as in their own stomach. As for the predator, it is rarely fatal but highly painful for around eight hours, irritating for up to a week.)
