History: The Defiant was a weird kind of fighter it had a turret with 4 303s machine guns, but it didn't have frontal guns. Its purpose was to atack bombers from angles they couldn't defend. The luffwafe realized that it didn´t have frontal guns and it became vunerable to Messerschmitts in dogfights. Soon after the RAF repurposed it to night fighting were it helped a lot until the release of better night fighters like the Mosquito etc...
