This game is an open world so you can continue going in all directions, however the map (in the menu) can guide you; beyond the new visual usage if your MapX or MapY is beyond 10, 0, or below -10 boss locations cannot be found. Also, If you go far enough, you might even find stronger enemies that give more light cores. For you information, yes, the name of your character is in fact: “Shiny”.
