It’d been a normal day. James got up, got dressed, took a shower, made sure not to wake the others…but something was different. It felt as if he had irritated his throat somehow, though he didn’t know what could have caused it. Oh well. He took a step out of the shower, furiously ruffling his hair with a towel in an attempt to dry it quicker, and dressed in some muggle clothes (a Spider-Man tee, blue jeans, and a red sweatshirt), since he had plans later that day outside of the wizarding world. Right, his plans. He was to run an errand for Macdonald, get her some new lipstick. Didn’t know why she asked /him/ to, but he figured it had something to do with keeping him busy for the weekend. Over the weekend, he’d planned to practice for the upcoming quidditch game against Slytherin. He’d see Sirius’ brother there, he’d always been so…Regulus. Stormy, but sweet. Tired, but excitable. Not conventionally attractive, with his almost shoulder-length curls, his short height, and his borderline scary personality. James didn’t see how that wasn’t ‘attractive’. He was pulled back into reality as he coughed, his throat sore again, that was strange. Perhaps he caught something. That was probably it. Anyways, back to Regulu- /cough cough/ -okay… Fine, then. He’d have to go soon anyway, so he muttered a quick goodbye, waking up his best mate, as he reached the door. “…where are you going?” Sirius murmured, voice riddled with remnants of sleep. James gave a brief smile as he opened the door, “Shops.” He was slightly more awake now, “Wearing that?” “Muggle shops. Favour.” “Alright…be back before noon.” He rolled over in his bed, suffocating himself in his pillow. It was one he’d brought from home since second year, since apparently the quality was better. James couldn’t feel the difference, but took to the dramatics anyway. He adjusted his glasses slightly, them having slipped when he faced his friend. He’d have to fix the fitting soon enough, he supposed. He nodded simply, leaving him to rest with the others.
