This lift used to be a 2009 Otis Gen2 located at a famous modern office and housing complex built between 2007 and 2012. This particular one only goes 3 floors but it's actually the premium 1.6 m/s model. It does have a good chassis, it levels quickly, it has pre-doors and even VF pre-start! The capacity of this lift is 1000 kg or 13 persons which is higher than the average 8 person (630 kg) capacity and has nice Optima buttons. This lift goes 1 m/s on single floor trip and it goes 1.6 m/s when going 2 floors. The Otis AT120 door operator of this lift is also fast and reliable, both the VFD and Gen2 motor sounds really nice and it has nice brake clunks. This lift is way better than the standard 1 m/s European Gen2, which is what most 3 floors building would have gone for instead. This lift also uses the Drucegrove voice which is cool and it's in great condition. But Otis decided to modernize it using Lester Controls logic, Dewhurst buttons, Magnetek VF drive and Wittur HydraPlus door operator! YUCK! The lift is now slowed down to 0.5 m/s, spends ages levelling and the VF pre-start and the pre-doors are gone. And the voice is the awful Lester voice! Plus, they installed an RFID card reader! What have you done, Otis?! At least the motor, chassis and brake clunks are still there! But still, why would they mod a perfectly fine Gen2 with Lester?! Also, the fire alarm went off because a Karen smoked in one of the apartments! The fire alarm system is a 2009 2nd Gen FireSweeper addressable system with a slightly different EST voice evacuation message and fast whoop tone which are played through the PAVA speakers and the EST Genesis speaker strobes. The system also has a few EST Integrity horn strobes and some EST Genesis remote strobes. Also, they added some SpectrAlert Advance low frequency sounders in early 2015. The PC's in the offices are Dell Optiplex 7080 MT and 5090 MT desktops and Latitude 5410, 5411, 5420 and 5421 laptops. These things are nice and reliable but the 5420's and 5421's have a stupid soldered USB-C charger port and when it does break which can happen quite easily either the whole board has to be replaced or the port has to be replaced using microsoldering and in both cases, it's very expensive! So, this is a really really dumb design! At least the RAM and storage are upgradable in all laptops and the 5410 and 5411 laptops still have a modular charger port! These things all have i7's (Both laptops and desktops), at least 16 GB of RAM and NVME SSD's as their boot drives. The 5411's and 5421's do have discrete Nvidia Geforce GPU's. Some of the Optiplexes do have Nvidia Geforce GTX GPU's BTW. Also, there's a building nearby from 2012 and it's got some nice 3rd and 4th Gen Ecodiscs. But sadly, Otis is starting to modernize them too!!!! This time they will use Ziehl Abegg Zetadisc motors with ZAdyn VF drives as well as Lester Controls logic, Dewhurst buttons and Wittur HydraPlus door operators. This is just insanely ridiculous! Meanwhile, Jackson is modding some epic 2007 Schindler Eurolift MRL lifts with Lester Controls logic, Magnetek VFD's, Dewhurst buttons and Wittur HydraPlus doors! But that's not the worst part! Just watch and find out! And beware of the fighter jet at the very end!
