Steps to editing sprites: Step One: Convert your sprite to Bitmap, Step Two: Use the Select Tool to move parts of the sprite around, Step Three: Blend your sprite to make it look like it's always been like that. Step Four: Add on to it like you see here, I added a rider. Step Five: Have fun! Wow, just shared this a few hours ago and I already got a comment and two loves! Update: Converted to Vector, and softened the lines.
