❝ ᴵ'ᵈ ᵍⁱᵛᵉ ᵘᵖ ᵉᵛᵉʳʸᵗʰⁱⁿᵍ ❞ I wake up to my dorm mates shaking me until I arouse. "Get //up// we have classes today, Vera!" one of the girls, Aaliyah, pull on my shoulders as I sit up. "What the-- oh, sorry," I mutter as I realized I had fallen asleep earlier whilst thinking about the Time-Turner. I am definitely going to use it before giving it back to Albus. Am I? By the time I meet up with Raina to walk down to the Great Hall before we go to our separate House tables, we have twenty minutes before classes start. I grab one of those bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich things before heading straight back to the dorm room to get my bag. Even though I rather walk slowly back to my dorm, the fact that I have to gather everything within five minutes, because it will take me another five to actually //get// to the dorm, then after that, I have to scurry back down to get to class. In all honesty, I'm too tired to deal with Herbology class right now, even though I love it, but oh well, what can I do about it? ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ After an interesting lesson that sort of wakes me up, I hurry to get to Divination, which I think is stupid but Professor Trelawney thinks I'm good at it. Okay, maybe I am a little, but it's still pointless. The weight of the Time-Turner in my robes is annoying me, but I don't trust my hiding skills that if I place it somewhere, nobody would find it. As I walk up what feels like a million stairs to get to Trelawney's classroom, I remember from my third year that Hufflepuffs and Slytherin always have Divination together, which means I get to sit with Raina, while she'll probably mock Trelawney's airy tone under she breath during the lesson just for me to crack a smile during that torture? I already see her in the small crowd of people waiting for the next class, talking with Albus and Scorpius. /Shoot,/ I think. /Albus is a Slytherin. Oh shoot./ I head over to them, hoping I don't blush when I slightly bump against Albus to get to them. Raina gives me a I-know-what-you're-thinking kind of smirk as the students from the previous group flood out. As we enter, Raina, for some reason trails about a yard behind the boys, but I don't want it to just be me as the only girl with them, so I follow her. "Why do you avoid him?" Raina asks in a whisper, and then giggles when I roll my eyes playfully. "Because I don't wanna embarrass myself in front of people, even //Scorpius//." I jokingly spit of his name, and now it's Raina's turn to roll her eyes. She and Scorpius had gotten together over the summer, though she's been using that as an excuse to have me and Albus around each other. She thinks she's the perfect matchmaker, I swear.... Class was as boring as ever, even with Raina reenacting Trelawney's slightly Scottish accent in a murmur. We finally get lunch, and Raina and I decide to grab a few sandwiches for each of us and hang out outside. It's early September, the second to be exact, so it's not //too// hot like it normally would be in the summer, but not snowing and negative numbers like it sometimes would be during Christmastime. By the time we make it to our old oak tree that we hung out by since first and second years, Raina's grinning like she got a lifetime supply of Chocolate Frogs. When we sit under the tree's bare branches, she takes a bite of her turkey and cheese sandwich in an attempt to hide her huge, mischievous smirk on her face. She swallows, and looks directly at me. "I'm gonna pass out from suspense if you don't start telling me what you're thinking within twenty seconds of me finishing this sentence," I say, seriously, but she knows I'm making a joke. "Okay fine then," she spits out, "what's that golden necklace you got, then, eh?" I literally, like, totally choke on the piece of sandwich I was chewing, swallowed it, then coughed out genuine coughs for about ten seconds, as she was roaring with laughter. "I'm sorry, what?" I say, trying to act like I have no idea what she's talking about. "C'mon, Vera, I saw you playing with it during dinner last night. What is it?" I sigh as I fish the Time-Turner out from the inside of my thin jacket, and place it in her hands. "What in the name of Merlin is-- oh my God, Vera," she says, suddenly quiet and urgent, "where'd you get this from?" I rant to her for about five straight minutes about how it fell out of Albus's robes on the train, deciding it wound be better if she knew about it. "You should do something with it!" Raina whisper-screams. She has this excited expression that I can't place exactly why she's doing it. "You can go back in time! C'mon, where d'you wanna go?!" I shrug my shoulders, but put a concerned look on my face as Raina's features suddenly grow a bit sad. "What?" I murmur. "What's wrong?" "Please don't get mad at me for this, if you want me to say it." My eyebrows furrow, as I nod for her to keep going. "You"-- I can barely hear her-- "should go--er-- //visit// to your parents."
