Btw there’s six chapter and their all on my profile :) Chapter two-Lurelin village It was the first thing Link was offered when they entered the village that evening-a glass of w!ne. Zelda was soon offered one as well, and whatever celebration was happening in the village they were quickly dragged into it. It didn’t take long for Zelda to observe it was a celebration for the calamity ending, and it didn’t take long for them to realize who Zelda was. They toasted to her, sang to her, and thanked her. Little girls came up to her and bombarded her with questions, all admitting they were quite large fans. She hadn’t realized she had a fan club, but apparently the Princess Zelda fan club was a big thing in Lurelin village. Zelda tried to enjoy herself without drinking all of the w!ne the villagers supplied, handing her glass after glass of their finest spirits-she dumped most in the ocean, and when the guilt got to her for wasting their finest w!ne, she secretly poured it into the other villagers glasses. Link, however, did not reject their offers; he drank and drank and became intoxicated just as the sun set. The villagers continued to rave into the night, and while Zelda appreciated their enthusiasm, did not find herself wanting to further partake in the chaos. And so she pulled Link aside, assuming he’d be sure to safely get her home; and that was when she realized how wasted he was. “Link, are you…dr¥nk?” She asked, just as they exited the crowd. He hobbled, stumbled, and slurred his words, but through it all, he insisted. “No! I am completely fine.” “Link, you’re drunk.” Zelda sighed. She looked back at the partygoers, insistent that she didn’t want to go join them. Then she looked at Link. “Hey,” he said, holding a finger in his face like he could read her mind and predict exactly what she was going to say. “I do not need to go to sleep.” “Yes, you do!” Zelda replied, sighing, annoyed with drunken Link. “It’s important, and we”re supposed to leave for Goron city in the morning!” Link hicced, and gave her a confused look. “But we’ve barely been here.” He said. “We should stay…longer. A few more days. Cause, cause you said you wanted to visit EEEEVERY village,” he made a dramatic gesture with his hands and almost fell over, and Zelda had to catch him. “What’s the point, *hic*, if you only spend enough time there to see your bodyguard drunk?” Zelda thought about this. It would make more sense to stay longer in the villages-they’d planned to hit them all as quickly as possible, but she did in fact want to explore more, learn about the people; meet the people. It was more logical…”Wait.” She said, squinting at Link. “So you admit you’re drunk?” His eyes widened with foolish drunken horror. “No!” He said quickly, straightening up; just to nearly fall again. “I am very normal. And I do not need to sleep.” “Yes, you do.” Zelda sighed again. “Can I at least stay up a little longer?” He asked. She proceeded to squint at him skeptically for another minute, and he held her gaze steadily despite being drunk. And, finally, she let out a sigh. “Come on,” She said, grabbing his hand and dragging his drunken form behind her. “The waves are pretty tonight.”
Chapter one: (the original project got taken down cause Scratch got mad at me for not changing the music?) Chapter one-Hateno village “This…is your house?” It was safe to say the moment Link had informed Zelda of his residence in Hateno village, she had been extremely skeptical. It seemed impossible to her in a way-Link? Settling down? Outside the palace and his life as her knight? She remembered the last hundred years, but she didn’t feel them; to her, it was just yesterday that Link had been sent to the shrine of resurrection and she had gone to face Gannon. “Yeah. I bought it, worked on it…kind of.” Link replied, urging Epona, his horse, over the bridge. Horses always seemed skeptical of it, refusing to cross if they weren’t being ridden, but Epona definitely had the best attitude about the whole ordeal. Zelda gave him another skeptical glance as they approached, but didn’t say anything more; just silently dismounted her horse, Storm, and entered the house behind him. She didn’t mention the full sets of royal guard weaponry hanging on the walls as decorations, the paintings on the wall, even the silent princess sitting in a vase beside his bed. “Are you hungry?” Link asked eventually, checking his pack. He had plenty of ingredients to make her some food, and he figured they could go around the village and visit the tech lab tomorrow. But Zelda wasn’t hungry, apparently. “I’m alright,” she responded, stretching her arms as she let out a wide yawn. “Though I am quite tired. You don’t happen to have a spare bed roll anywhere?” She asked, looking around his residence. “I don’t, but you can take the bed. I don’t mind.” Link offered. She gave him a stern look. “Link, you need to sleep.” She insisted. She’d gotten quite upset the night before, when she’s gone to the inn just to realize he was still sitting beside the fire. She went on for nearly an hour about how sleep was vital to healing and proper health, before eventually drifting off mid-lecture. “I can sleep. I’ll go to the inn and buy myself a bed if you want me to rest so bad.” He insisted in turn. He felt bad sending her away to the inn; she was the princess of Hyrule, the one who’d saved them all. Saved him. He could sleep in the inn one night and survive; but he’d feel endlessly guilty if he turned her away. Zelda sighed, dramatically, rolling her eyes. “Fine. I suppose we’ll just have to share.” She quipped, and stomped upstairs. Link watched her; watched her tie her hair back and climb in bed. And he heard her loud as ever when she called down a few minutes later, “are you coming?”
