Chapter three-Goron city They did in fact end up spending three more nights in Lurelin village, and Link refused to talk to Zelda about the events of the first night. Zelda had made an attempt to shrink the Zelda fan club, feeling uneasy at the idea of people raving about her and holding her as an idol in their vision, but instead she made it grow and became certain Link was the fan clubs leader. They then made their way to Goron city, which they now planned to spend two days at, mainly because Link insisted the lava was too dangerous for a princess. Normally Zelda would have disagreed and forced him to let her stay longer, and while she verbally pushed back, she didn’t attempt to change their new schedule. “So. This is Goron city now, huh?” She asked, looking around. Made of red rock and fire, with Goron’s rolling around every few seconds. She’d already explored, talked to everyone there was to talk to and saw everything there was to see. But Link seemed to have one more trick up his sleeve. “Come on,” he told her, grabbing her wrist and pulling her along. “There’s somewhere cool I want to take you.” The path to Link’s ‘cool place’ was not remarkably hard, though it was incredibly hot. He gave her the top and bottoms to his fireproof armor, keeping only the helmet for himself, and she didn’t complain purely because she knew he was much hotter than she was in that moment; being constantly burned by the air. Halfway through she tried to convince him to take the armor, feeling too guilty, but he insisted she keep it, claiming he’d had to withstand much worse. Then he discovered a fireproof elixir hiding in his supply bag, and was perfectly fine for the rest of the journey. When they finally got there, he insisted she close her eyes and let him hold them closed as he led her the rest of the short way. She followed his guide, walking across the uneven stone to whatever sight awaited her-and when he finally asked, “Ready?” And removed his hands that were ever so gently covering her eyes, she let out a small gasp. “Hot springs!” She exclaimed, looking over the land. It was covered in them-big, small, deep, shallow. Some small puddles she could barely fit her fit into, others large channels that went on for miles, for all she knew. “Isn’t it gorgeous?” Link asked, stepping up beside her and gazing at the colorful waters. “I think they are. And always very nice to come across; great healing benefits, you know. Especially nice when you’re in the snowy regions.” Zelda smiled, looking at him look at the water. Blisters still ran down his sides, on his arm where he’d fell. Healing benefits, he’d said… “What kind of stuff can it heal?” Zelda asked, taking a step closer to him. “Oh, all kinds of stuff! Wounds, scratches, scrapes,” he began. “Blisters?” She asked, willing her voice to sound innocent as possible. “Yes! They can heal blisters too, and-“ it was when he turned to look at her and saw her eyes glued to his blisters that he knows. “W-wait, Zelda,” He started, but she didn’t let him finish. She took a step behind him, braced herself, and pushed him-right into the water. He fell in with an almost childish scream and a large splash, that left Zelda laughing beside the springs. “What the heck,” Link started, spitting water. “Was that for?” He demanded. “You said the springs would heal anything,” She replied between laughs, looking down at the now-drenched Link. His hair stuck to his head in a funny way, only causing Zelda to laugh harder. “You had blisters, so I figured I’d push you in! Heal you!” Link let out an annoyed sigh as Zelda proceeded to laugh more, and then suddenly a small smirk appeared on his face. “W-wait, what’s that face about?” She asked, suddenly nervous as he began to swim forwards the edge, forwards her. She took a few steps back, looking cautiously down at him.“Wait, you’re not gonna-Link-“ she began, but it was too late. In a swift motion, he grabbed both her ankles, and pulled her in.
