In Assassination route, after you assassinate the most important monsters including Asgore and Papyrus, You ride the Train home but its strangely empty... Until another train crashes into the rear of yours and Sans boards the train to deliver justice to you. He reveals that he was able to avoid getting an inhibitor (a device forced onto monsters by humans) due to his low stats, and has secretly been training in magical combat. Also yes, this guy also has a gun, specifically a revolver. He doesn't have it whipped out all the time though
