A trend in hip-hop i’ve seen is artists incorporating their names into albums, and today i’ll talk about some examples. First is Lil Wayne. His name is Dwayne Carter, and he also made an album called Tha Carter, which uses his last name. His stage name also uses his first name as well. Next is Eminem. His real name is Marshall Mathers, and he made an album called The Marshall Mathers LP. Fairly simple. His stage name, Eminem, used to be M&M (his initials). He got into trouble with the candy brand, and changed it to Eminem (since it’s pronounced the same). 50 Cent’s real name is Curtis Jackson, and he made an album called Curtis. Again, simple. That’s all the examples I could think of. If you have any examples, let me know.
