guys this is an OPINION or 4 about the aescom and the just overall state of it these days opinion no 1: honestly, let's be real. we do NOT treat this like a kid's coding site, we treat it like some sorta p!n+cord+!n$ta+tumb!r combo all in one. the fact that we even HAVE projects called "my socials" says it all, no? like if you want to treat scr like pin then go on pin, if you want to treat scr like cord then go on cord, etc. additionally, why do we even have drama? like i get being mad that someone stole your banner but its genuinely not that deep and telling someone to commit or that you want them to burn in a fire (yes i actually saw this on a profile) is NOT the way to go. you're doing a few things. a: slightly tainting your digital footprint, b: proving how immature you are, and c: making this CHILDRENS CODING platform more toxic and a less safe place to be. additionally, there was one event in the original aescom studio that comes to mind. basically, a girl (we'll call her mia) said she was gonna commit, and everyone in the studio was panicking. every time someone joined the chat and tried to talk about something else (they didn't know), a myriad of replies saying "ugh read the room" responded to the commenter in 30 seconds to a minute. it's not their fault for "not reading the room" when they didn't know AND this topic isn't even supposed to be in the room in the first place? i'm not saying it's a harmless thing to c0mmit, but everyone's reaction was inappropriate for this specific website. and, for a place that's supposed to be an uplifting and wholesome place for coding and making fun projects, this community makes it feel like we're achieving the opposite. we're missing the point of scratch. opinion 2: honestly, moving accounts more than 5-10 times is a little unnecessary. genuinely, how many usernames do you need? this prolly sounds selfish, but save some for the rest of us. only reason i think moving more than 10 times is fine is if you get banned 21931092 times for something but at the same time, what are you guys doing that gets you banned all the time?? also if someone pulls the "b-bbut i dont like my user!!1!" you.. chose it? like im sorry but you dont have to change your username every 2-3 months, it's getting out of hand. opinion 3: it's nice but at the same time, why are there studios/communities for literally everything? more than half of the people in the studio dont even do/like the stuff that the title/desc says. for example, in the "unaesthetic community," i literally saw some user form that said "im aesthetic!" did you read the title of the studio?? 99% of people just join studios for the sole purpose of making sure their projects get out there instead of genuinely trying to relate and share their interests within the community. the amount of studios that i've seen with only curator forms in the comments is genuinely sad. opinion 4: if you don't want stealers to get attention, then just.. don't give them attention. is it hard to keep it to reporting and ignoring? why do we have to bully the stealer? what they want is attention, and that's exactly what you're giving them by constantly commenting on their profile. ever heard of the phrase "all attention is good attention?" also, i'm not defending stealers, what they're doing is still wrong. but you don't have to comment insults on their profile every 4 seconds, that's unnecessary.
